Virginia was a very prayerful person. It seems only appropriate that room be made on this web page for readers to post requests for prayers. We can at the very least pray for one another and for each other's intentions. We could even occasionally ask Virginia to intercede on our behalf. As the Sister superior of Virginia's high school wrote of her at the time, "Virginia is indeed a most unusual person, one blessed with Faith that staggers the rest of us, and strange to say, she does receive some marvelous answers to her prayers and requests." She bent Mary's ear so assiduously while on earth, I suspect that that habit continues even to this day. And Mary, of course, can work wonders through the power of the risen Lord…

Please pray for my mother who suffered a stroke 3 weeks ago and is having a very difficult time; that she will be uplifted in spirits and strengthened in body to return home to some form of independent living.  And for her family and my father who are at odds and causing trouble for one another, that the peace and reconciliation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus will bring healing and unity. The whole thing is a terrible mess and need God's grace to enable all things to work out in peace, charity, and goodness for all concerned.  Dave P.  (posted 3/20/04)
